Understanding the Significance of Dhanteras and Diwali

Dhanteras:

Dhanteras marks the start of the Diwali festival and is observed to commemorate Lord Dhanvantari, the God of health and Ayurveda. Purchases of gold, silver, and kitchenware are made as a wish for wealth and good fortune. It's a day to call forth prosperity, health, and good fortune.

Diwali:

Five days after Dhanteras, we celebrate Diwali, which represents the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness. Diyas (oil lamps), vivid lights, and bright rangolis adorn homes, creating a sight to behold.
