The World Environment Day(WED) was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1972. Hosted every 5th of June by a different city and commemorated with an international exposition through the entire week, WED is used by the United Nations to stimulate awareness of the environment and encourage political attention and public action. Conservation of nature is greatly important for the preservation of human species and with the menace of Global Warming looming large constantly, WED, which addresses this problem, is all the more significant. You too can do your bit to contribute to this important event. On the eve of World Environment Day, we bring to you a collection of free e-greeting cards related to the occasion.
